Trump's had a very busy life since he came from Georgia to live at Hyegold. A gorgeous puppy, he had a beautiful head and tons of bone. His show career started with a Best in Match at South Hills KC with his friend Grace Keller West who also showed him to his first point. Later he earned 8 more points before an unfortunate injury ended his show career.

He easily earned his CD, CDX, JH and WC and after achieving the UD title in 1995 Trump retired to help run things on the farm. Taking up a new career as a TV/print/stage star, Trump made TV commercials for Dad's Dog Food and Thrift Drug. He also posed for print ads and performed in the Indiana PA Community Players production of "The Miracle Worker" along with our granddaughter Cassie.

Dearly loved and greatly missed by all of us here at Hyegold.

Tymer was my introduction to serious obedience competition and little did I know where she would take me. The road to her Obedience Trial Championship was quite a ride! Going into the weekend when she finished her OTCH we had earned 48 points. Winning a huge Open B class on Saturday and then going on to win Open B and HIT on Sunday at Cleveland All-Breed Training Club (her breeder's home club) was a thrill beyond belief! We earned 52 points that weekend and finished right on the 100 points needed for her OTCH. Tymer was the fifth in her litter to earn an Obedience Trial Championship, a feat thus far unequaled in Golden Retriever history.

Tymer garnered numerous more High in Trials on her way to the Obedience Hall of Fame and then went on to earn her JH and WC. Tymer played Sandy in “Annie” at the Indiana PA Community Players, where she was a great favorite.

When we lost her two months shy of her 16th birthday, she left a huge hole in our lives. And she will always be missed.

Tressa was a beautiful blond girl who achieved her championship going out with her breeder. She was awarded 3 Best of Breeds, 3 Best Opposite Sex and a major specialty reserve. Home after her championship travels, she proved there was more to her than just her looks. In just four trials she earned her Junior Hunter, with lots of 10s and nice comments from judges about her drive.

Tressa has made the greatest contribution to our breeding program here at Hyegold. Everyone who met her was impressed by her sweetness and gentle temperament. Her kids have certainly inherited her temperament along with her desire to “do” and “go”. Tressa was mother to our girls Tango, Sousa and Pinky.

Losing her has left us greatly missing her smile and loving ways. There can never be another Tress.

Caper definitely lived up to the promise in her pedigree. With Carlo for her daddy and Cotton for her grandpa, how could she miss? She started her field career in 1991 qualifying in her first four hunt tests to earn her Junior Hunter title in great style. Caper passed the WCX on her first try without doing a WC. While her Senior Hunter title was not without its tribulations she accomplished it in October of '94. And then earned her CD the next month with Barb handling her... in three straight shows with all her scores in the 190s. The greatest joy of Caper's life was a hunting trip with Dick and buddies when they went pheasant hunting in South Dakota in 1997. Her aim in life was to be with Dick and please him.
